About Us

Our center has been caring for area children since 2008 when it opened as a Kids Kare location. For more than a decade, our staff has been nurturing boys and girls just like yours and encouraging their physical, mental, and emotional development.

Now, as Gentle Shepherd Daycare, our goal is to help your child become a kind and curious person who loves to learn. They will get daily lessons from teachers who receive yearly training in child development and care.

Education & Development

Depending on their age, your son or daughter will learn educational basics such as letters, numbers, colors, and more. They will also enjoy regular science and art lessons. They will even have opportunities to sing and dance with their daycare friends.

The Gentle Shepherd classrooms also are full of age-appropriate toys from blocks and balls to dolls and trucks to kitchen items. Your child will practice both fine and gross motor skills as they play with inside toys and scamper around our outdoor playground.

Nutritious Meals

Your little one will eat nutritious meals each day, as well. The daycare participates in a U.S. Department of Agriculture federal food program, which means children get healthy, well-balanced breakfasts, lunches, and snacks to fuel their learning.

Stay Connected While You’re at Work

You can also stay connected to the fun. At Gentle Shepherd, our staff uses LifeCubby to inform parents about their children’s care. This app facilitates communication between you and our teachers, providing real-time updates on menus, lesson plans, and more. You can even use it to see photos of your child playing and exploring at daycare. Those images will become bright spots in your workdays.
